Details

"The jade flint symbolizes healing, following your heart and clearing your thoughts," says Rita Ramirez of her modern interpretation of the historic nahual. For her "Maya Nahual" collection, a nahual represents the connection that exists between a person and the gods, a form of spiritual partner present throughout life. "The Maya people referred to this flint as Tijax, and believed it represents the energy that a healer has to heal." De Catalán translates her design into a fantastic necklace that is crafted by hand with sterling silver and light green jade.
