Details

Stylized features depict a ghost with vigilant pose. Used by the Dan people of Cote d'Ivoire and Liberia, such masks are considered guardian spirits; they drive off evil with their good elements. Rita Addo Zakour designs images with authentic West African identity. Applications of white clay give the piece a vintage look.
