Painted as a cityscape, Reza Dwakiss's mixed media work imagines a generation of Indonesian people who failed to build the dream they envisioned. The Javanese artist uses a modern, semi-abstract style reminiscent of Neo-Expressionism to create the painting, infusing hope into the canvas with every stroke. "Our building still stands monumental in simple pride, and remains eternally great," he says of his work.

"thought provoking"
This is at the framers now with two others that I will hang as a triptych. I enjoy the directness of the expression in all its confusion, detail and enthusiasm.
