Colorful flowers dance under paisley clouds in a stunning jamawar from Sandeep Malhotra. So intricate was the work that a person could finish only one shawl in his lifetime. Such shawls were not sold, but were given to kings and queens who, in turn, gave the artisan properties according to the worth of the shawl. Authentic jamawar is virtually unavailable, but replicas such as this recall their amazing beauty. The wool wrap masterfully combines rich maroon, beige, black, olive and orange hues.

"Truly exceptional."
This shawl was worth the wait. The photo in the catalog and online are beautiful but just can't due justice to the item in your hands. So intricate and delicate, almost sheer in spots, it is really something special!

"Beautiful and Stunning Craftsmanship"
I bought this for my wife as a Christmas gift, and she absolutely adores it. We traveled to India a few months later and she brought it with her, and while we bought a few more scarves and shawls while there this remains her favorite due to the beautiful colors and patterns worked into this piece of art.

"Beautiful gift"
Purchased this as a Christmas gift to be included in a Yankee Trader- people fought over it! :) It was gorgeous, well crafted, with beautuful colors, and arrived quickly.

"Not as pictured"
Quite disappointed in quality of this scarf. Looks like a material remnant. No fringe on ends as shown on site. Just raw cut material thats going to continue to fray.

"Stunning wool shawl!"
My mother passed away and I had a Navy dress I wanted to wear to the funeral, but it was sleeveless...too cold for Wisconsin in April. I tried to find a sweater or shrug, but everything looked frumpy. Then my Jamawar wool shawl came in the mail. It was perfect! I appreciated the hand written note from Sandeep Malhotra, the artisan. "unique design in scale and color"
This shawl is ultra-lightweight, which makes it easy to wear. It sits on my shoulders without weighing me down. The colors are rich and very dark. It is beyond beautiful.
