Details

Very long, slender earrings come to life in violet. At the top, multicolor triangles resemble arrowheads. Arrows belong to the shaman, or mara'akame, who is able to speak with the blue deer, brother of the Huichol people. Artisans from Mexico's Huichol Center for Cultural Survival and Traditional Arts craft their design by hand, meticulously placing each bead one by one. Faceted blue, turquoise, red and yellow beads adorn their fringe cascade.
