Tenuous stars shine in silhouette, their precise contours defined in teal on graphite gray. Working on a traditional loom, Jose Mendoza weaves an area rug in the ancestral style of Mexico's Zapotec people. The wool takes its colors from the natural wool and from organic dyes derived from plants and flowers.
