So intricate was the work of an authentic jamawar that a person could finish only one shawl in his lifetime. Such shawls were not sold, but were given to kings and queens who, in turn, gave the artisan properties according to the worth of the shawl. Authentic jamawar is virtually unavailable, but replicas such as this recall their amazing beauty.

"Its not just a shawl, its a work of art!"
I bought this to give as a Christmas gift. Having seen it, though, I almost hate to give it away. Fortunately its going to a good friend. The design, colors and craftsmanship are beautiful and the fabric is wonderfully soft. Its not just a shawl, its a work of art.

"Stunning wool shawl!"
My mother passed away and I had a Navy dress I wanted to wear to the funeral, but it was sleeveless...too cold for Wisconsin in April. I tried to find a sweater or shrug, but everything looked frumpy. Then my Jamawar wool shawl came in the mail. It was perfect! I appreciated the hand written note from Sandeep Malhotra, the artisan. Thank you for helping me feel my best on an important day.

"unique design in scale and color"
This shawl is ultra-lightweight, which makes it easy to wear. It sits on my shoulders without weighing me down. The colors are rich and very dark. It is beyond beautiful.

"Most beautiful scarf ever!"
I am absolutely & totally in love with my new scarf! It is beyond stunning & extremely high end, top of the line quality! My mother was born in France, so I know quality fabrics and I am very picky. This is the softest most beautiful scarf I ve ever owned! Thank you so very very much for this beautiful addition to my wardrobe. It will bring me years of joy, and be a go to accessory with almost any outfit from silk to denim. Very elegant & a true understated classic.

"Silk paisley is stunning on both sides"
The silky feel and luscious pattern is a real treat to wear. The turquoise and black colors shape the prominent neutral colors in a beautiful paisley. The photos are lovely but dont capture the full beauty of this silk scarf.

"Not as pictured"
Quite disappointed in quality of this scarf. Looks like a material remnant. No fringe on ends as shown on site. Just raw cut material thats going to continue to fray.
