The Akan tradition of kente cloth is celebrated with this rich textile from Ghana. Rachel Armah hand-weaves the kente cloth on the traditional loom using cotton and rayon blend fibers. She creates three strips of cloth and sews them together. Colorful motifs decorate the cloth, which makes for an excellent shawl or scarf.
