Gliding through the rainforest on bright blue wings, macaws seem to converse in flight. Luis León portrays the splendid tropical birds with astonishing realism. He weaves the piece on a handloom, tucking tufts of colored wool into the tapestry to achieve the subtle shading. Titled "Guacamayos del Tambopata" in Spanish, it is inspired by Peru's Tambopata Amazon Nature Preserve in Madre de Dios.

"A stunning focal point to our home"
Beautiful colors, exquisite craftmanship. Im an artist and truly note and appreciate the talent required to produce this quality of work. I live on a mountain with a view of a lake and mountains, and down the road from us are four llamas , so this tapestry really speaks to me.
