Handmade Recycled Oil Drum Decorative Bowl, "Haitian Tree of Life"

Featuring a tree of life theme, this wonderful decorative bowl is the creation of Josnel Bruno with the ARTisANETWORK. The Haitian artisan crafts the unique bowl from recycled steel oil drums.
The oil drums are cut in half and flattened, and the design is drawn by hand with chalk. Then the bowl is shaped with hammers and the motifs cut out with the help of a single hammer and nail to create a beautiful work of art.

"Wow!"
I thought I was getting a nice, unique catch-all piece for keys and mail and stuff. What I got was a stunningly beautiful piece of art! I am blown away by the artistry of this piece.
