Emmanuel Austin Ankude in Ghana crafts this stunning mask to honor the Bwa people, an ethnic group native to Burkina Faso with an estimated population of over 300,000. The artisan hand carves the mask from sese wood, the paints the surface in a harmonious combination of blue, brown, and cream.
