Details

From the state of Oaxaca in Mexico comes this loom woven 100% cotton sling. Nothing makes married artisans Nelson Hernandez and Wendhy Salones happier than seeing younger generations in Oaxaca learning about their Zapotec ancestors and their customs; Nelson says that the backstrap loom weaving tradition is, "...something which is being lost in many homes." The purse is woven with thread in pastel pink accented with stripes in crimson; its braided pink strap is long enough for the bag to be worn across the body. The bag is lined with pink nylon fabric, and two front-facing zippered compartments on the outside make it easy to keep the purse's contents organized.
