Since ancient times, men provided water to their livestock by carrying it on pots over their shoulders with the help of a wooden stick. That is the theme for this splendid ebony wood sculpture designed by Agnes Amponsah in Ghana, crafted and painted by hand and featuring water pots that can be dismantled from the post.

Lovely box. Lid works, though open /close is tight at the hinge. Hope it will loosen with use and not wear on sides in that region too much.

This is a beautiful box, well designed and well made. The ebony is wonderfully dark and gives it a very satisfying weight when you hold it. I find myself smiling whenver I look at it.
