Details

With clear brow and long, straight nose, a young woman represents a standard of youthful beauty. Her eyes are wide, her lips full and she piles long tresses atop her head. This beautiful mask by designer Nana Adu Amankwapam I is named Me Nua, which means "my brother/sister" in the Akan language. The piece is carved by hand of sese wood and finished with mansion polish; elegant brass inlays adorn the forehead and cheeks.

I just received the Northern Ghanaian Warrior. Absolutely beautiful work. Every piece of art: carvings, drawings, sculptures, etc. is art only when the soul of the artist can be felt within the work. That is exactly how I feel about this piece. Thank you...it will be cherished, well cared for and displayed prominently.
