Handcrafted Rainbow Moonstone Dangle Earrings from Bali, "Shield of the Gods"
Designed by Balinese artisan Buana, this pair of dangle earrings evokes the supreme beauty of the gods. Each oval earring is handcrafted of sterling silver, featuring a spiral motif at the top that is accentuated by dot and openwork wire motifs. An oval cabochon of rainbow moonstone completes each piece.

"Beautiful"
A stunning piece of jewelry! The large moonstone has a beautiful sheen and beautiful hints of blue. The setting is very high-quality with a gorgeous detailed base. The ring is most comfortable and very eye-catching. I love it!

"Pretty"
These are very pretty earrings, but I had to return them because they were too heavy for my earlobes. If you have stronger earlobes than mine, these area great find.

"Beautiful but weak connection"
The piece is wonderfully carved and has what looks like a real gemstone but where it comes apart, the physics are not there for a tight closure.

Buana is a master silversmith. He designs and crafts his jewelry collection using a combination of traditional and modern jewelry making techniques. Buana and his silversmiths share their knowledge and train younger artisans that join the workshop.
Microcredit Financing
Buana has received 14 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2400 and the most recent for $7000. Proceeds were used to invest in a purchase of natural gemstones and silver for his jewelry.
Caring for Children
When Buana first began to work, he was fearful that he would be unable to care for his first child. Now he proudly cares for two.
