Designed by Balinese artisan Desak Nyoman Parwati, this one-size-fits-most robe showcases unique patterns of purple, green and light blue floral motifs are achieved with a combination of batik, a resist dyeing technique, and tie-dyeing. “Beautiful robe that takes my breath away!!”

I love my new robe Purple Mist! Purple is my favorite color, and I love the beautiful blend of colors used in this robe. I love the feel of the robe - I feel so relaxed and cozy when I wear it. Thank you so much for this delightful treasure!

“Just gorgeous”

This arrived this morning, and I am in love. It?s exactly what I?ve been looking for for years - it?s long, elegant, well-made and absolutely beautiful. The fabric is light and cool, moves easily and just flows. The colours are just something else - I?ve never seen a gown like it. I specifically wanted to review as I had been worried about the sizing. I am a UK size 14-16 and currently pregnant, so was looking for a gown to wear in hospital. Having done all the measurements I was worried this would be too small and nearly didn?t purchase. It is plenty big enough to wrap around, and once bump is huge then it can be worn open and still looks lovely. If you are hesitating - just go for it. Such a talented woman - thank you for my beautiful gown. I am already hunting for some more and they would make truly beautiful gifts for any mother-to-be, bride-to-be, anyone really!

“A beautiful way to start my day!”

This is my 4th robe from NOVICA. I love the blend of beautiful colors incorporated in this Ocean Jungle print. The material is soft and supple yet stays in place when tied. Ive found that silk slips and becomes loose even when tied. This garment stays in place. Its just a wonderful design and lovely addition to my robe collection! Thank you for your talent and commitment to detail and design.

“This is a great addition to my wardrobe!”

Preserving Traditions

For eleven years Desak worked with a batik artisan learning all aspects of the process, from wax painting to dyeing. From her, she learned not only the art of batik and textile design but also how to care for her workers. In her workshop, Desak and the older artisans generously teach their art to the younger artisans, preserving for another generation this UNESCO cultural treasure.
