Handcrafted Green Iguana with Red Spines Glass Figurine, "Iguana's Stare in Green"
This bright green lizard with red and black spines down his back and tail pauses mid-crawl to check out his surroundings. Artisan Elena Herrera of Costa Rica handcrafts this torch-fired glass statuette and adds colorful details with glass paint.
The very nature of hand-blown glass artistry implies the possibility of miniscule air bubbles and/or slight imperfections. This is part of the charm of this art form, for it ensures that no two pieces will ever be identical.

"This is a beautiful piece."
This has been sitting on an end table in my living room for months. On a whim, I placed it inside a mouth blown glass lily that was next to it. Perfect! It is small and delicate, but really really nice.
