Handcrafted Ebony Wood Sankofa Ornaments (Set of 4), "Learn from History"
Artisan Robert Lanyo of Ghana handcrafts this set of four ebony wood ornaments of the Sankofa Adinkra symbol of a backwards looking bird, which means to look back into history and learn from what may otherwise be forgotten. The ornaments come with the natural assorted colors of ebony wood, which ranges from light brown, to a rich warm brown, to near-black, depending on the particular section of wood.

"Great for my ADHD son"
First off. Its a lovely simple piece of jewelry. It has held up well, and still looks great months later. BUT the real reason I got this for my son is because he has ADHD and fidgeting in the classroom can be an issue. Hes now in in high school and fidget toys can be too much. This is a great option that provides sensory input without noise or distraction to the teacher or his classmates. Looks great, helps his ADHD without distracting the class. Win/win

"Beautiful craftsmanship!"
My new ebony elephant catchall is a gorgeous piece of art crafted masterfully by Mr. Lanyo. I feel selfish keeping it on my dresser — it deserves to be seen by all who enter my home!

"Meaningful and meditative"
Somehow the big, black beads are calming and so relaxing. I have a lot of shiny and colorful jewelry but sometimes basic black is just right. Being black, it is also very versatile.
