Komang Sulaksana hand-weaves natural fibers from pandan leaves into a bright yellow cover for this cheerful journal. A glass-covered opening on the front is bordered with agel grass, perfect for displaying a photograph. Bound with banana tree bark, the book's spine holds a cinnamon stick in an agel grass cord; inside, one hundred unlined rice straw paper pages await your inspiration. The vivid color and varied textures of this journal make it a welcome companion for traveling or for home.

the very first journal i was gifted with was when i was 15. it was from Bali w/ seed pods & banana leaves on the cover ~ on the inside was this wonderfully textured straw paper - im 34 now & i stil prefer writng in thoughtfully handcrafted journals like these from Bali. i especially like the window for a photograph as this will be used to record memories of my baby o(^___^)o the quality is gorgeous for the price as i am a thrifty shopper & dont think art should be too expensive to enjoy being an artist myself. i like that this supports an artisan in a third world country as i am orginally from the Philippines as well. salamat!
