Though traditional in design, this stunning area rug has a color scheme that lends itself to contemporary home decor as well. Mario Chavez in Mexico crafts the rug on a pedal loom, working with wool that is spun by hand and dyed with natural pigments. The black and ecru flat-weave rug features knotted fringe at both ends. Teotitlán del Valle is a small village in the state of Oaxaca; the name Teotitlán come from the Nahuatl language and means "land of the gods".

Exactly what I was looking for...a bright cheery rug to use beneath the barstools at my new kitchen island. The colors are perfect, exactly as pictured, and the craftsmanship is very nice. The wool is thick so I expect this rug will wear well. Couldnt be happier!
