Cheerful roosters in various poses adorn this handcrafted table linen set, consisting of a tablecloth and coordinating napkins. The set is woven on a traditional foot pedal loom of 100% cotton, and bordered with stripes and arrow motifs in yellow and orange. Guatemalan artisan Eladio Chiroy is motivated by the desire to keep the weaving traditions of his country alive and well.

Eladio uses a handloom to create his textiles. He was taught by his father at a young age and he recognizes its importance to Guatemalan culture and history. Before he started weaving as a NOVICA artist, he was a school teacher and kept a handloom in his classroom so he could teach any students that were interested in weaving.
