Hand-Stamped Batik Rayon Robe with Tie Belt, "Spiritual Center"
Designed in soft sage green and rosewood colors, Desak Nyoman Parwati's batik robe is hand-stamped with pretty chakra and floral motifs. Crafted by Balinese artisans, the rayon robe features elegant kimono-style sleeves, two front pockets, and a matching tie belt for a close but comfortable fit.

"Oh so very pretty!!"
Very comfortable, although for us larger breasted gals order a size up. I always have to anyway. The print is actually prettier in person. I cant wait to wear it. Thank you so much!

"Absolutely Beautiful!"
I am so very happy with this dress. It is even prettier in person-the different colors in the batik work stand out and are gorgeous. The fit is perfect and the construction and fabric professional.. I can wear it with a t-shirt, or dress it up with a little jacket or shawl. Very good purchase!

"Perfect vacation wear."
Ive always liked the Batik process of dying fabrics. This dress is lovely, and Ill be wearing it often when Im in Hawaii.

Preserving Traditions
For eleven years Desak worked with a batik artisan learning all aspects of the process, from wax painting to dyeing. From her, she learned not only the art of batik and textile design but also how to care for her workers. In her workshop, Desak and the older artisans generously teach their art to the younger artisans, preserving for another generation this UNESCO cultural treasure.
Microcredit Financing
Desak Nyoman Parwati has received 3 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2800 and the most recent for $4000. Proceeds were used to invest in the purchase of textiles and batik dyes to increase production in time for the holiday season.
