Known for his devotion to the poor and sick, Saint Anthony of Padua the Portuguese Catholic priest is paid homage in this reverent statuette from Guatemala. Artisan duo Juan and Carolina create this statuette, which is carved from pinewood to depict the saint as he holds baby Jesus in one hand. Colorful floral motifs are painted by hand, and Saint Anthony's hand is removable.

“Inspiring artwork”

This statuette is wonderful and friendly! It is colorful, but subtly so. Its sweet and simple and sincere. I was drawn to the devotional artistry of the piece, and it warms my heart.
