This stunning long women's robe is hand painted by Desak Nyoman Parwati in Bali. The black rayon robe is decorated on front and back with brilliant tangerine-hued sunflowers and green leaves. Belt loops and pockets on both sides are welcome additions.

"Beautiful Robe exceeded expectations"
If you have favored this robe or a different one by this artist, BUY It. You will be happy! Not only is it gorgeous and shipping was fast, it is super-well made and feels great. It exceeded my expectations. I love it. The only caution before purchase is directed towards petite people. I am 5 2” and the long length is perfect after belting it. If it was any longer, I would be tripping on it.

"My favorite sundress!"
Such lovely fabric with beautiful colors for this dress!!! I love that it has pockets. It is my most favorite go-to for the very warm summer weve had. Thank you Desak Nyoman Parwati! I will be ordering another one in different colors!

"super nice dress"
The print is beautiful. It is a lovely flowing dress for hot weather. Washes well and needs very little ironing. Got positive remarks while wearing it.

"Very comfortable and light for summer"
This dress is lovely, I have two in different colours - each is a slightly different material and thickness. The sizing is large, I chose the smallest size (S) and it was a big on me, and Im usually a size S or M. I shrank it in the dryer.

From her, she learned not only the art of batik and textile design but also how to care for her workers. In her workshop, Desak and the older artisans generously teach their art to the younger artisans, preserving for another generation this UNESCO cultural treasure.

Desak Nyoman Parwati has received 3 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2800 and the most recent for $4000. Proceeds were used to invest in the purchase of textiles and batik dyes to increase production in time for the holiday season.
