Hand Made Wool Sling Handbag Caribbean Blue from Mexico, "Woven Generations"
For Mexican artisan Marco Bautista, the act of weaving textiles is a process that brings him closer to nature, reminding him of the relationship he shares with the animals and landscapes of his country. He creates this sling handbag, handwoven from 100% wool to hang from an adjustable leather strap. He decorates the piece with geometric motifs in antique white and black against a body of Caribbean blue, as he works on a traditional Zapotec loom. The bag opens with a zipper to reveal a black lining with an open interior pocket.
