Featuring an assortment of numbered pegs on a 3x3 grid, this puzzle game from Thailand brings the contemplative fun of sudoku to any home. Within each sectioned block are the numbers one through nine, identified by the orange pegs that fit into the board. The objective of the game is to arrange the pegs so that the numbers count in sequential order in each direction, as well as in the sectioned blocks, themselves. Handcrafted by Waraporn Khamsuk, this game offers an exciting chance for families to craft new puzzles and challenge each other.
The workmanship on this is excellent. I'd have only three comments to improve this product. The numbers are printed on a clear film and adhere to the pegs. Over time they may peel off, though I haven't yet had this issue. It would have been nice to have the numbers on the bottom of the pegs, backed with white paint, this would allow an indication of the original puzzle to be retained on the board, if an error in the solution needs correction. Lastly, the cover serves as a repository for the pegs and I've added a small set of partitions to create 9 "bins" so I can sort the pegs by number. I really do enjoy this handmade puzzle and think of the artisan each time I play.
