Hand Made Decorative Papier Mache Box from India, "Kashmir Cheer in Rainbow"
Inspired by the beautiful flowers of the northern Indian Kashmir region, Mohammad Hussain Baba designs this lovely decorative box. The Indian artisan hand carves the box from weeping willow wood and a layer of papier mache before hand painting the surface with a colorful floral pattern. Finally, the box is coated in a glossy lacquer for shine and protection.

Selected this for my husband as a Christmas stocking stuffer and he really likes it. He also likes that the artisan wrote a thank you note in Hindi (which my husband is currently learning) which made it fun for him to translate the message.

"Will look beautiful on Christmas tree"
