About this Item

Working in the time-honored art form of reverse-painted glass, Peru's Ortiz Family creates this small but beautiful jewelry chest. Featuring two drawers and an upper compartment with a mirror, the wooden chest is covered with glass panes that have been painted on their reverse sides with detailed motifs in twilight shades of dusty lilac, blue-violet, iris and grey. Gleaming gold paint is applied to the trim.
