Hand Crafted Pataxo Bird call Whistles (Set of 4), "Native Song"
These unique bird call whistles are from the Pataxó Indigenous Community in Brazil. The four whistles are crafted from marupa wood and decorated with geometric patterns using wood burning techniques. The whistles mimic the call of birds--partridges, pigeons, small-billed tinamou, and other species. A close connection with nature, including communication with birds, is an important part of Pataxó life.

"Wooden bowel"

I bought this as a gift for my son-in-law who is very ethno-centric. I felt it was a tribute to him, the artist and a declaration of support to traditions & legacies. Made a nice addition to his dresser as a catch all.

"Love the frog!"

Very unique and well made. It does sound like frogs had to play with it. Would make a unique gift. Happy with my purchase. Plan on purchasing more items from these artisans.
