Indian artisan Aftab excels at dabu printing, a traditional craft of the Rajasthani village Akola that dates back to the 8th century AD. Here he uses the hand-block printed, mud-resist dabu technique in a natural indigo dye to create a lightly quilted cotton jacket. It features a crisp piping detail along the collar and no-fastener front.

"Beauty yes, and MOST unexpected use!!"
Beautiful Jacket arrived in March 2020. Jacket is made of heavy, high-quality cotton quilting material. The print is really modern, subtle, interesting. I love it. Due to COVID19 travel restrictions I could not give the jacket to my intended gift recipient. Jacket is not at all my size. It?s WAY too beautiful to return to Novica. So what to do?? So, sew!! Yes, I carefully cut the Jacket material and HAND-SEWED several functional, breathable, machine-washable BEAUTIFUL FACE MASKS for my family and friends!! From social-distance 6 feet away strangers have told me they love my face mask. I still have some Jacket material left over. Thinking of what to sew next!!

"Gorgeous and well made"
I love this jacket. When I first ordered I didnt realize it was quilted cotton but its a plus because now I can use it on chilly days. I ordered a small and its still very big on me, Im 57 and 130 pounds, I usually wear Small or Medium clothes. Ill ask my step mother who does alterations to adjust it for me. The color and print is beautiful and the garment is sewn very well. I love it so much, thank you!

"Comfortable, practical and cute"
This is a very nice ,lightweight cotton and I use it as a nightgown. The pattern is such that spills, etc do not show. I bought another one I liked it so much.

"Just what was expected & delivered!"
I wanted something to wear to work that would be cool for those every-so-often hot days along the California coast.I wear a pair of navy blue of ankle high tights underneath so it works for a casual work day.The material is such good quality cotton, and the design of the dress is really well-thought out! The entire effect is super cool! Happy, happy.
