Hand Crafted Glass Mosaic Wall Cross, "Dove Cross of Tau"

Fabiola Martínez celebrates the Christian faith with a glistening Tau cross centered by a white dove. "The dove is descending, and it symbolizes both the Holy Ghost and peace," explains the Mexican artisan. She crafts the cross by hand, creating a glass mosaic in black while green borders both the dove and the cross. Named after the Greek letter it resembles, the Cross of Tau was regarded as the symbol of salvation and is mostly used in reference to St Francis of Assisi. Nowadays the Tau Cross is a symbol of the Franciscan order.
