This fertility figurine titled Yoodi, meaning "elderly woman" in Kabre, is of a woman who is pregnant and carries a child on her back. Artist Emmanuel Opoku Asante of Ghana hand carves this sculpture from sese wood and gives it a rustic finish using local clay and acrylic paint. Details such as jewelry and clothing are adding using cotton fabric and recycled glass beads.
