“A Wonderful Gift with Meaning”

This exquisite little pair is finely crafted and immediately brings emotional and thoughtful responses. I mounted them on a small oval piece of pine finished in a light brown, then placed that on top of a heart shaped thin larger thin piece of maple finished in very dark brown. It was then inscribed as a thank you gift and presented to a board member & secretary retiring from our arts organization. I saw the pair differently from its name. I saw the cat and a caring creature watching over a tiny member of a different species, which, to me, is a beautiful and important statement. I discussing the two possible iinterpretations with a friend, he noted, Well, the mouse is still alive! Your work is truly beautiful, Fernando. Thank you. (Picture later)
