Enabling Education
Despite his financial difficulties, the education of his children is always a priority. He works extremely hard crafting gemstone sculptures to be able to provide the education for his three children.
Confronting Adversity
Alexandre has struggled with depression since 2017. On good days, he is able to work and create but, on bad days, he can't get out bed. Although this affects his family and income, it's difficult to overcome. His therapist recommends he continue working with stones, as it helps him relax. So his handcraft is a way of aiding in his recovery.
Caring for Children
Alexandre Costa is a stone sculptor and a dedicated father. He is the sole means of support for his two children and he works very hard to provide them with what they need.
