Hand Carved African Wall Mask, "Anoma"
The impressive "Anoma" mask is an original design by Robert Nortey. Meaning "Bird" in the Twi dialect of Ghana's Akan people, the black mask features a white bird looking over the forehead. Nortey carves the sese wood mask by hand and adorns it with embossed aluminum and painted details.

"So Glad I Added to My Collection!"

I have many beautiful masks that I have ordered through Novica and love them, and this mask, ?To Foresee? is no exception! While it it one of my less embellished and detailed masks, it still makes a big impression. Heavy, substantial, and the beautiful reddish color really makes an impact! So happy to have it as part of my collection!

"Just beautiful..."

I just received you mask, ?Keeping Order?, and it is beautifully made. I particularly love the contrast of the red and black, and the aluminum inserts are beautiful. It is proudly hanging on my wall already with my other masks from Ghana! At this time I have 5 masks, plus 2 mini masks in my collection. This one will not be my last!

"A very cool piece of African art!!"

I got the idea of obtaining an African mask when watching the movie The Translator with Nicole Kidman. I am glad that Novica is helping artists around the world share their creations. The True Courage mask is beautiful. Im not sure how the artist inlaid the different metal accents but it is quite remarkable. My thanks for sharing this great art so that I can share it with my friends and family. The mask was packaged very well and arrived unharmed.
