Colorful birds inhabit a forest of fuchsia and mahogany, inspired by the beauty of the bougainvillea flower. Working on the backstrap loom, women from the Cotzal Artisan Cooperative share their traditional weaving methods through this beautiful cotton scarf. By alternating unwoven spaces with the horizontal threads, they create a lightweight textile that drapes gracefully, finished with fringes on the ends.
