Growing up on the shores of breathtaking Lake Atitlan, Guatemalan artisan Mirian Zet lives in harmony with the wildlife that inhabits the Guatemalan highlands. Using her hands to convey her love of nature in art, Mirian crafts these extravagant waterfall earrings inspired by the striking macaws that bring color to the forest, arranging glass beads on sterling silver hooks in a tropical green theme. With the dual purpose to help those who are experiencing hardship in her small village and to create opportunities for women in her community, Mirian commits herself to generating employment for others around her through the beaded jewelry she creates.

"Beautiful, Charming Earrings!"
These earrings are beautifully constructed. The design absolutely adorable and so charming. I love shopping at Novica because I can get such unique, quality, handmade items. "Absolutely stunning!"
I am a huge fan of earthen colors and hues, as well as seed bead work, and these necklaces grabbed my attention. They are dainty, and the bead work is fantastic. I like that they are not sold connected - thus one can wear one or both. They go perfectly with a bracelet and earrings I purchased from the site. LOVE Ms. Zets color choices!

"Colorful and bright!"
Love this necklace from one of my favorite artisans. I have a passion for seed bead items and this necklace did not disappoint! It can be worn long or doubled up for a perfect shorter fit. I love the colors she picked - thus can go with so many outfits. It perfectly matches a pair of earrings I had purchased from the site. One cant miss with this beauty.

"The Perfect Valentine Gift"

"Full of glitter and gold!"
This bracelet is absolutely gorgeous. The beadwork is so intricate and lovely, and I love the effect of the 3 shades of color. Ms. Zet has become a favorite of mine with her seed bead works. Upon receiving it I realized it matches perfectly with an amber bracelet I had purchased from the site prior; also plenty beautiful to wear alone. Looking forward to a pair of earrings from this artist I am waiting for to become available.
