Geometric Wool Area Rug (1.5x6), "Stars on Earth"
Stars descend from the sky to illuminate the fertile earth. Neatly woven by hand in virgin wool, the elegant motifs grace a traditional Mexican rug. Gregorio Ruiz Lopez works on the handloom to create designs his father taught him, this one named "Jaula de Estrellas" in Spanish.
Because each rug is individually woven, measurements could vary +/- 2 inches (5 cm).

"Gregorio Ruiz is a Master Craftsman!"

Received my Stars on Earth Zapotec rug yesterday and was blown-away by the product quality and the artistic beauty Gregorio Ruiz created. I will continue to follow Gregorio. Also, first time discovering Novica and, my oh my, what a joy. Received a personalized postcard from Novica Mexico and the descriptive tag accompanying the rug brought great warmth and joy to this item. So happy to discover this site and the people making it a international success story.

"Rug works well in our bedroom."

Beautiful colors and pattern. Fringe is also a nice touch, though a tad uncomfortable when you step on it barefoot. But still glad I purchased this lovely rug! Great craftmanship.
