Galleon Motif Leather Wall Hanging, "Proud Victory"

Sailing across time on uncharted waters, the "Victory" galleon remains a proud emblem of an era of discovery. The Spanish and British navies used galleons such as this one in the 16th and 17th centuries for trade with the American colonies. They tended to be heavily armed, for pirates frequently chased them and the riches they transported. Glauco in Brazil prints the ornate ship on ox leather, masterfully using pyrography techniques.
