Inspired by the chenteño fretwork embroidery of San Vicente Coatlan in Oaxaca, Mexican artisan Mariana Barranco creates this gorgeous pendant necklace. She crafts the necklace of 14k gold-plated bronze, adding a white cultured pearl beneath the diamond-shaped pendant. A second pearl accents the clasp, which is engraved with the artisan's initials.
The name "chenteño" derives from "Chente," the affectionate nickname for Vicente, the town's patron saint.

This necklace is just wonderful. The necklace was clearly beaded with a great deal of artistry and craftsmanship (it actually looks like its tabby striped!), and the cat is gorgeous. Thank you!
