Cotton shoulder bag, "Carnelian Forest"

Woven by hand on a backstrap loom, forest colors and handsome textures distinguish this design. Women from the Cojolya Association on the shores of Lake Atitlan create the fabric. Wide, comfortable straps and a reinforced bottom make this tote perfect for books or shopping. A drawstring from side to side is drawn through a black clay bead to close the bag.

"Gorgeous"
I bought this and another similar one by the same artist (earth and sky) and I love them both. The fabric has heft and appears to be durable, and the woven straps are thick and strong. It is unlined but the fabric is thick enough to support wallet, change purse, eyeglass case, cosmetic bag. Very happy with purchase.
