"I am a responsible, hardworking and creative woman. I've always been interested in art. At a young age, I took up painting as a hobby and let my imagination fly. My inspiration was Peruvian art.

"Although I majored in accounting, I felt the need to follow my real passion and wanted to pursue an activity I really enjoyed. In addition to taking courses and workshops, I also studied design at the university.

"In order to dedicate myself to this art, I had to overcome many obstacles. But my parents inspired me to continue working toward my dreams. My mother had to take care of me and my siblings at home yet she always found time to work on her paintings. She still paints and I love to watch her. She's incredible.

"I also took courses on crafting handbags, and I wanted to do something for myself. I taught classes and sold my own crafts. I later moved to Arequipa where I set up a proper workshop and appeared on a live TV show where I offered crafting tips and techniques.

"I began exploring different crafts, including interior decorating, repoussé, soap and candle making and jewelry design. Eventually, I focused on contemporary handbags featuring Peru's renowned handwoven textiles. My designs are inspired by fashion, accessories and décor trends, which I interpret in my creations.

"I'm very proud to be Peruvian and want our art, our roots, our cultural diversity and our history to be appreciated through our contemporary crafts. My designs are simple, natural and different, and I like to think people will use them every day. I enjoy my work and I believe you can feel this. It's my dream to show my art around the world."
