Kot, the legendary two-headed eagle from traditional Guatemalan weaves, adorns the front of this culturally rich cushion cover. Representing a powerful female deity in Maya cosmogony and many pre-Hispanic cultures, the bicephalous eagle symbolizes duality, with one head overseeing good and the other one to evil. Members of the Women United for Artisan Development group take inspiration from the iconic motif to create this lovely accessory expertly handwoven from cotton, featuring a hidden zippered closure on the back that allows for easy cushion insertion (not included).

I love the design on front, and the back zipper is hidden— well designed and carefully made. It seems like it will last a long time too.

I use to live in Guatemala and use to enjoy going to all the craft shows. I have a house full of treasures from Guatemala. Use to go to the old capital by bus with al the chickens. Scary bus ride from Tuguesagalpa. I love the work that all of your womans group does! Thank you!
