Depicting abstract humanoid forms in white against a purple and yellow background, this cotton wall hanging is created by Oluwayemisi Adeniran. According to the artist, this piece depicts spirits, called yoruba, that appear near the Ghanaian village of Ila. She crafts it using the batik method, where a wax resist is applied to the fabric before submerging it in vats of dye.
