A colorful mask painted and carved by hand from balsa wood shows a warrior with war paint, two butterflies on a branch and a sloth on the top. This exquisite decorative accent to display on the wall is crafted by the artisans of Costa Rica's Association of So Cagru Indigenous Women to pay homage to the traditional masks worn by the Boruca people during the Dance of the Devils celebrations that mark their battles against the Spanish conquerors.
