Copal Wood Porcupine Alebrije Sculpture from Mexico, "Porcupine Spirit"

This exceptional colorful porcupine sculpture is the design of Mexican artists Zeny and Reyna who hand carve its body from copal wood and its quills from maguey plant fiber. They use a multiple array of vibrant colors to give life to this porcupine and decorate it with the traditional and detailed motifs that distinguish Mexico's alebrije artwork.
