Artisan Salihu Ibrahim creates this original design after similar masks used by the peoples of the Congo. The mask is hand carved from native sese wood and painted; local clay is used to give the mask a rustic finish.

"Butterfly Bird Mask"
This is outstanding! It hangs near our stairs after coming in the front door of the house. The craftsmanship is exquisite, and the colors flow into the space. When hung on a single hook it hangs at a slight angle, but I feel that accentuates it.
