In hues of emerald, cerise, and bright yellow, traditional African motifs are printed onto this striking cotton wallet from Ghana. Cynthia Danquah designs and crafts this accessory, which opens with velcro. Inside, this wallet features a cotton lining with one zipper pocket and two open pockets for storing money and other belongings. Danquah names this wallet Ntoma, meaning "fabric" in the Akan language.
Cynthia Danquah has received 5 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $100 and the most recent for $200. Proceeds were used to stock up on beads and stones for the jewelry she makes and sells.
