Collectible Handblown Murano Inspired Art Glass Vase, "Curving Palm Leaves"
Conjuring the shadows of slender palm leaves on a white sand beach, Seguso Family artisans create an elegant art glass vase. Its graceful rounded shape moves upward and inward again in a harmony of proportion. They work in the age-old techniques of Murano glass brought from Italy to Brazil by Mario Seguso in 1954.
The presence of air bubbles accentuates the nature of the traditional hand blown crafting process, making each piece unique.

"AMAZING"
This is an incredibly beautiful vase. I bought it as a gift for a close friend and she loves it. I sent a 2nd one to a good friend as a housewarming present. Simply gorgeous.

I have now purchased three of these lovely Confetti Canary paper weights as well as one of the solid canary ones, all as gifts. They have been well received, and they are wonderful small, thoughtful gifts.

Preserving Traditions
Mario Seguso, the patriarch of the Seguso Family, was born in 1929 in Venice, Italy to one of the oldest and most famous blown glass artisan families on the island of Murano. His ancestors have crafted art glass since 1300. In 1956, Mario created his own workshop in Brazil. He has passed on his knowledge to his sons, grandsons and the artisans working with him. He is proud to have many assistants and to have trained eight glass masters in his workshop.
