Zandra Lorena Sajbin evokes Maya glory with the exquisite design of this necklace. Working with sterling silver, she crafts seven jade pendants. Ya'ax Chich in Maya, jade was regarded as a sacred symbol of life, fertility and power. Each gem on this necklace sits on delicately detailed settings featuring the quetzal bird, national emblem of Guatemala, and Maya characters holding a corn cob, regarded as sacred. Two of the pendants are adorned with the jaguar temple at Tikal flanked by two faces.
